Tangie Lynn Allen Kurtz

Tangie Lynn Allen-Kurtz was born on April 23, 1976, in Ponca City, Okla. to Ernest W. and Patricia Ann (Carter) Allen. She passed away on February 10, 2014, in Geary, Okla. at the age of 37. Tangie graduated from Geary High School and attended Redlands Community College in El Reno, Okla. She married David Kurtz on December 20, 2002 in El Reno. She worked as an EMT in Geary and had taken and passed her national boards for physical therapy. Tangie loved her dogs, reading books, music, sewing, loved all kinds of animals and helping them, and loved her kids. Tangie used to barrel race; and at one time, was a model for Chic Jeans. She loved shopping, and most of all, she loved life. Survivors include her husband, David Kurtz of Geary; her children: Tracie Allen-Kurtz of Geary; Larry Alton Kurtz and fianceé Jessica Hartzell of Carlisle, Penn., and Christian David Kurtz of Fort Riley, Kansas; her father, Ernest Allen of Geary; her grandfather, W.W. Carter of Marlow, Okla.; her grandchildren: McKenna Kurtz and Brooklyn Hartzell of Carlisle, Penn.; and her siblings, Timothy Allen and wife Judy of Fairfield, Texas, and Tammie Allen of Geary, Okla., as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by mother, Pat Allen, and her grandparents, Othella Carter, and Bill and Nellie Allen. Graveside Services were held at Geary (Oklahoma) Cemetery, Friday, February 14, 2014, with Rev. Waylon Upchego officiating. Services were entrusted to Turner Funeral Home, Geary, Oklahoma.
