It is graduation time around the nation. It is a busy time and locally it is just as busy.
Canton High School graduation will be at 7 p.m. May 10 in the elementary gym.
At Calumet High School, the all sports awards will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday at the gym and prom will be the next day, May 10, beginning at 7 at the Cowboy Palace at El Reno.
Baccalaureate will be held at 7 p.m. May 12 and the FFA banquet will take place at 6 p.m. May 13.
Eighth grade graduation will be held at 6:30 p.m. May 14 and high school awards will take place at 1 p.m. May 16.
Graduation rehearsals and diploma photos will be at 9 a.m. May 17, with graduation that evening at 7 p.m. in the west gym.
Geary High School held an elementary walk through Monday. Baccalaureate is at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Methodist Church and graduation practice is at 9 a.m. Friday. Graduation is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Stegall-Long Fieldhouse.
Okeene will hold Pre-K promotions at 2 p.m. Thursday and graduation is at 7 p.m. May 17 in the auditorium.
Watonga High School seniors will also face a busy week and weekend. It will begin with baccalaureate at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oasis Church on Main Street. The annual Lions Club scholarship banquet will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Noble House.
Friday will see graduation practice at 10 a.m., followed by the senior parade down Noble at 12:30 p.m. The seniors will be treated to lunch after the parade at Oasis Church.
The track banquet will take place that evening at 6:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church and the senior slide show at 7:45 p.m. on the jumbotron at the football field.
Graduation will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday. The scholarship banquet has been rescheduled for May 14 at the commons area at the high school after severe weather forced its cancelation Monday.
