In Loving Memory...

Regina Joyce Burghardt was born July 3, 1984 in Thomas, OK and took the hand of the Lord to go home on March 7, 2024 at the age of 39.

Regina earned her cosmetology license in 2010 and graduated from Rose State College in 2019 with a degree in finance. Following graduation, she enjoyed coloring and cutting clients’ hair while making them laugh and smile while in her salon chair.

When she was young, she took voice and pianos lessons from the youth minister at church to later win many medals for singing. Regina also enjoyed participating in Bible quizzes and church plays. In 1992, Regina and her mother Rhonda were washed in the blood of the lamb in a double baptism on February 14 at the Moore Nazarene Church.

She loved making trips to Colorado where her heart belongs on the west slopes of the Rockies. She loved her family and those she considered family even if not by blood. Many Easters were spent with the Farris family in Fay, OK where she enjoyed baking and taking cookies, candies and her famous stuffed eggs. She considered Charlee and Chizum Nall of Fay her niece and nephew.

Regina also enjoyed horseback riding during her many stays at Fay and took her last trail ride in her beloved Rocky Mountains in the summer of 2022.

Regina loved her family and the many, many friends she made along the way. Many children called her aunt and she loved them all. Her humor brought long laughs and smiles to everyone she met. When you were around her, you knew you were going to laugh at some point. She wouldn’t have it any other way.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024 at the NOUN Hotel in Norman, OK. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday March 23, 2024 at the Lone Star Cemetery in Rocky, OK beside her grandmother.

Regina was preceded in death by her grandparents Letha (Sutton) Burghardt and Gene Burghardt and her aunt Christy (Burghardt) Wray Ivins.

She is survived by her mother Rhonda Burghardt of El Reno, OK, uncle Ricky Burghardt and aunt JoAnn of Florida, Canon Burghardt of Edmond, OK, Marcus Wray and Logan Wray of Watonga, OK and her three dogs of the home, Jax, Freya and Odin.
