Both teams were strong on the hill Friday, but the Watonga Eagles varsity defeated Coleman 3-0. Rylan Miller started the game for Watonga and recorded 21 outs.

Miller struck out 15 batters on the day. They also gave up two hits and zero runs over seven innings while walking three.

The Eagles opened the scoring in the first after a passed ball scored one run.

No. 11 took the loss for Coleman. The starting pitcher went six innings, allowing three runs – two earned – on five hits, striking out seven and walking three.

Kaleb Branson went 1for-3 at the plate as they led the team with one run batted in. Miller went 2for-3 at the plate to lead the Eagles in hits. The team had one double play in the game.

No. 11 and #3 were a force in the lineup, each collecting one hit for Coleman. No. 6 stole two of the five bases swiped in the game. Coleman was sure-handed in the field, without a single error. No. 4 had the most chances in the field with nine.
