City Council Approves to Expand School Zone

The Watonga City Council held their second meeting for the month of November, on Tuesday, November 21, inside the Watonga City Council Chambers at Watonga City Hall.

During the consent agenda, Dacia Phillips of RS Meacham CPAs and Advisors went over the City’s financial report for the approval of the council.

According to Phillips, revenues at 33 percent or higher are the goal while expenses are preferred to be at 32 percent or lower. “The revenues were at 46 percent, which is well above,” Phillips said. “The expenses were a little bit higher in some areas…but those numbers should level out as the year progresses.”
