Cold, Blustery Conditions Push Watonga’s Track Meet Up a Day

Watonga hosted its annual track meet, the 2018 Watonga High School Invitational, this past Thursday, April 5, 2018, at the Watonga High School Football Stadium. A total of eight High Schools traveled to Watonga for the Boys and Girls Meets, compared to 20 High Schools in last week’s meet in Stroud that Watonga participated in.

To avoid blustery conditions, the meet was moved up a day as both Watonga teams placed in the top five respectively.

The Watonga boys won one event and seven other top-five finishes to compile 71 points to finish in fifthplace behind meet champion Chisholm (162).
