August 17 was meeting night for our local quilt guild at which we shared projects and tips, drew names for gift certificates to quilt shops, and we were treated to a viewing of a trunk show as our program for the evening with quilts made from one of our talented quilters.
Of course, we did have a business meeting and as a reminder, election of officers will be held at our September 21st meeting and members are encouraged to attend. This will be my last meeting to preside as president so I would like to see all of our members!
October is the anniversary month of our guild, and on October 19th, we will be celebrating another year of quilting fellowship and fun! As usual, the meeting will be at the Watonga Senior Citizens Center with doors open by 6:30 p.m. We invite anyone to attend who would like to learn about quilting while having fun, and being with friends and/or making new ones.
