The most recent numbers on cases of Covid-19 in Blaine County show 87 active cases of the virus.

There are five new cases, three in Canton and two in Watonga. There are 13 active cases in Watonga; nine in Canton; one in Geary; and one in Okeene. Blaine County remains in the orange sector on the case map.

Statewide there are 65,053 cases total, up 833. There has been one new death reported, with that toll at 854. There are 9,930 active cases, down 23 and 54,269 recoveries, up 855. There are 472 sufferers of the virus hospitalized.

Nationally, there have been 6,300,622 cases reported, up 24,257 since the last count was issued. There have been 189,208 deaths, up 267. There are 3,777,863 active cases of the virus, up 6,434, while there have been 2,333,551 recoveries, up 17,556 since last issue of numbers.

Orange and red counties require those age 11 and up to wear a face covering in public, except in a private office, at a socially-distanced religious ceremony or while eating. Restaurant staff should wear face coverings and tables should be six feet apart. Statewide those 11 and older will wear face coverings at nursing homes, care facilities, medical facilities or communal living facilities. Anyone entering the state from an area of wide infection shall wear a face covering in public and limit indoor gatherings for 10-14 days, in keeping with Centers for Disease Control guidelines. The number of orange risk counties is the same this week as last week. The color map is updated each Friday.
