With the 2020 high school fast-pitch softball season set to begin in August, the annual Watonga Festival preseason softball tournament will wrap up July this Thursday and Friday.

The Watonga Lady Bison, Geary Lady Bison, Hinton Lady Comets, Okarche Lady Warriors, Seiling Lady Wildcats, and Fairview Lady Yellowjackets will be some of the teams in the area taking part in this year’s two-day cluster of preseason scrimmages.

As of this week, the following updated schedule is in place.

Thursday, July 30

Watonga vs. Mulhall-Orlando at 10:30 a.m. on South Field.

Geary vs. Covington-Douglas at 10:30 a.m. on North Field.

Mulhall-Orlando vs. Thomas at 12 p.m. on South Field.

Covington-Douglas vs. Mooreland at 12 p.m. on North Field.

Thomas vs. Pioneer at 1:30 p.m. on South Field.

Mooreland vs. Waukomis at 1:30 p.m. on North Field.

Pioneer vs. Seiling at 3 p.m. on South Field.

Geary vs. Waukomis at 3 p.m. on North Field.

Watonga vs. Seiling at 4:30 p.m. on South Field.

Friday, July 31 Watonga vs. Geary at

Watonga vs. Geary at 10:30 a.m. on North Field.

Waukomis vs. Okarche at 10:30 a.m. on South Field.

Geary vs. Seiling at 12 p.m. on North Field.

Okarche vs. Shattuck at 12 p.m. on South Field.

Waukomis vs. Seiling at 1:30 p.m. on North Field.

Shattuck vs. Fairview at 1:30 p.m. on South Field.

Hinton vs. Pioneer at 3 p.m. on North Field.

Fairview vs. Covington-Douglas at 3 p.m. on South Field.

Hinton vs. Mooreland at 4:30 p.m. on North Field.

Timberlake vs. Covington-Douglas at 4:30 p.m. on South Field.

Pioneer vs. Mooreland at 6 p.m. on North Field. Watonga vs.

Watonga vs. Timberlake at 6 p.m. on South Field.

The concession stand will be open on July 30- 31 and each team must provide help during at least one game ball.

The Watonga varsity fast-pitch softball squad is scheduled to open up its regular season at 4:30 p.m. at home on Monday, Aug. 10 vs. Chisholm High School.
