Margaret “Virginia” Kennedy

Margaret “Virginia” Kennedy was born February 15, 1932 at Watonga to Albert Bingley and Mary Lona (Dollar) Golden and passed away February 21, 2019 at the age of 87. She was a resident of the Corn Heritage Village, Corn, OK community for over 14 years where she was in a battle with Alzheimer’s, and was a member of Watonga Nazarene Church.
She was married to Thomas G Kennedy Jr at Parsons Kansas on November 13, 1952.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas G Kennedy Jr, Great Grandson Noah Blake Kennedy, 3 brothers and 5 sisters: William Joseph Golden, Houston “ Dub” Golden, Junior Golden, Elizabeth Lierlie, Dorothy Burnett, Lucille Posey, Eula Shankles, Flora May Posey. 3 brothers-in-law: Jesse Glenn Kennedy, Ivan Peters, Bob Harrison. Her parents: Albert Bingley Golden and Mary Lona (Dollar) Golden, her mother and father-inlaw: Thomas G Kennedy and Georgia “Davidson” Kennedy.
She is survived by one son: Arlon Kennedy and his wife Debra “Debi” Kennedy of Watonga, 1 daughter: Deborah D “Debbie” and her husband Frank Selby of Gage, one sister: Mary Phillips of Durant, 3 sisters-inlaw: Leora Harrison of Richardson, TX, Maxine Peters of Watonga, Naomi “Tootsie” Kennedy of Mustang, and brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Jean Kennedy of Weatherford, Beth Golden of Oklahoma City, 4 Grandchildren: Paul Selby of Shattuck, Skyler (Selby) and husband Chris Robinson of Ft Worth, TX, Heath and Chelsea Kennedy of Watonga, Ethan and Emily Kennedy of Alva, 8 Great Grandchildren: Caleb, Elizabeth “Lizzie Rae”, Ashton Robinson of Ft Worth, TX, Trace, Hayden, baby girl Kennedy of Watonga, Tommy, baby boy Kennedy of Alva.
As well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Margaret “Virginia” Kennedy will be held, Saturday, March 2, at 2:00 at the Watonga Nazarene Church in Watonga with Kason Oaks officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery at Watonga with Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
