Hello again Everyone! Sure hope you all had a good week. I had quite a week again. My week started off pretty good. On Wednesday John and I went to Oklahoma City to our heart doctor for a regular check -up. John’s visit went fine, but when the doctor looked at mt ankles and said” collecting to much fluid”, and I told him about my visit to the ER for chest pain, he decided to do a stress test, which I failed. He quickly had me scheduled for surgery the next day. They fixed me up on Thursday and sent me home on Friday. I’m doing really good, and feel good, so I’ll probably be back at the Center Tuesday.

I see we had some nice donations. Carla Juhlin donated coffee, Tim Curtin brought fresh tomatoes. Gene Matli maid dish towels for the Center and brought them in. We received more money gifts for Patsy Davis’ sewing supplies. Thank you everyone for your gifts and donations.

We had another new person to help with Meals on wheels of Friday. It was Susan Brickman. She helped her husband Vernon to deliver. Thank you Susan. Also delivering last week were Janet Taylor and Regina Glass, Janis Hood, and Karen Dugger and Mary Brown delivered two days. WE really appreciate all these volunteers.

Here's a reminder for you. On Friday the 9th from 10:30 to 12:30 the ladies from Angels Home Health will be at the Center to do blood sugar and blood pressure test. Be sure to come in for it.

I was told there were several ladies in to work on the quilt. That is great! They were Judy Poarch, Naida Keer, Gene Matli, Estalene Teply and Jennie Castleberry. I’m so glad they are coming back now.

I picked up the menu for the next week and here it is:

Thursday- Chicken fried steak

Friday- Ham and Sweet potatoes

Monday- Chili and Vegetables soup

Tuesday – Chicken Enchiladas

Wednesday - Thursday – Goulash

Friday Fried Chicken

We are in need of a part time cook. If you are interested call us at 623-4511

Sounds like another good week. I hope you are all doing well. I’m trying. Keep your mask handy. Take care and stay well. Til next week…
