On Saturday the Watonga Eagle Band marched in the Tristate Music Festival. They performed in both the parade (Above)and field marching competitions. (Drum Major Rita Clewell at left) The band received a rating of 1 (superior) for the parade and a 2 (excellent) for the field show. These students are working hard every day to represent the school well in these contests, and on or off the field at home and away football games. During this time of the year band kids sacrifice their Friday nights and several Saturdays to do what they do. So, if you see one of them in passing, please thank them for bringing the music! Our upcoming performances are: October 6: Home football game (senior night) October 7: SWOSU Homecoming Parade and Massed Band October 11: OSSAA Regional Marching Contest (the big one) October 14: Watonga Cheese Festival Parade We hope to see y’all in the crowd!
