It’s a Mystery Inside a Play Inside a Mystery

Watonga Community Theatre has been busy this spring preparing for another play.

“Murder at the Murder Mystery” will be performed on April 16 and 17 at the Liberty Theatre. Kim Coney and Amy Adams, directors, bring you three fabulous performances by 14 of our local high school students.

Come and see how the mystery unfolds as Mr. and Mrs. Polk host an array of characters in their home at the Cheboygan Playhouse. As the play unfolds, the local director, Brett, played by Ernesto Duenez, and his crew work to put various actors in their place on stage. Chaos soon takes over as one of the cast is murdered. Mrs. Polk (played by Liza Bruner) tries to be the levelheaded member, while Scarlet, played by Callie Edsall, plays the diva and demands special treatment. Meanwhile, Mr. Polk, played by Kale Smith, continues to give “helpful” suggestions to the director. Rehearsals continue as they try to uncover how the victim was murdered and who is the murderer. But what are they to do? The show must go on!
