The Blaine County Retired Educators held its meeting on Monday, September 14 at the Noble House in Watonga. There were 28 members and one guest in attendance. This was the first meeting of the new school year. After lunch, Carrie Luckie, owner of Okeene Wheatland Therapy, offered suggestions and led the group in exercises that retirees could practice at home to help with agility and motion. During the business meeting President Lisa Nelson reported submitting 2,846 volunteer hours for our group for 2025. Everyone was reminded to keep track of their volunteer hours for 2026. On August 13, Blaine County Retired Educators sponsored a senate candidate forum. It was moderated by Wright Media and had 56 in attendance. On September 18 BCRE hosted gubernatorial candidate Cyndi Munson that was also well attended. The Blaine County Retired Educators invite all retired educational personnel to join this active group. Our next meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, October 12 at the Noble House.
