WEATHERFORD — Three Blaine County 4-H Teens, Avery Fisher, Destry Swaim and Brayson Roberts along with Blaine County OSU Educator, Becky Bedwell; attend the West District 4-H Conference over Fall Break. The youth participated in the three-day conference held at the Stafford Air and Space Museum in Weatherford. While there, they participated in leadership activities, workshops taught by the District 4-H Officers and service-learning projects. The service-learning projects were making tie blankets that were donated to the Veterans Center in Clinton and Paracord bracelets that will be sent to so soldiers. Friday morning was spent doing the Think Fast Program, this is an interactive program where the 4-H members participated in safe driving stations such as what it is like to drive intoxicated, passing semi-trucks, talking on your phone while driving, etc.

In addition to the workshops, the 4- H members had a guided tour of the air and space museum, district officers were elected and the Blaine County 4-H members had a great time meeting other 4-H members from around the west district.
