As of 11 a.m. March 23, the Blaine County Courthouse closed its doors to the public in an effort to control the spread of the Covid-19 virus. Only employees are granted access. Members of the public who need to conduct business with county staff may call the appropriate office and receive instructions or conduct their business online.
The treasurer’s office can receive payments online, by mail or via a drop box on the southwest corner of the courthouse lawn. It can be reached at (580) 623-5007 or emailed at blainecotreas@pldi.net. The mailing address is P.O. Box 140, Watonga, 73772.
Jury trials have been postponed at least 30 days and the court clerk’s office may be reached by calling (580) 623-5970. Payments to the county court may be made online, by mail or over the telephone. The mailing address is 212 N. Weigle Ave., Watonga, 73772
While the OSU extension office is working remotely, residents can still have their soil, water or forages tested. A drop box for samples has been set up at the elevator entrance. Bags are available at that location as well and residents can pick up a bag, enclose their sample and drop the bag into the sample box. Samples are picked up daily. The numbers are posted on the courthouse doors so that residents may call the office they need and if need be, a member of that office will come to the doors and advise the caller as to the next steps to take.
