Grace Moody Cook turned 95 on December 24. Her family had a birthday party for her. Shown is a five-generation picture of Moody Cooks.

Shown are Grace Moody Cook, her daughter, Louise Cook Griffin, her grandson Lynn Griffin, in the purple shirt, his nephew Kade, whose father, James, passed away seven years ago Thanksgiving. Grace’s great-grandson, Kade Griffin is in the blue shirt, and her great great- grandchildren, Kimber and Kreed griffin, Kade's children, make the fifth generation.

Grace Moody was born December 24, 1928 in Washunga, Oklahoma. Washunga is named after the last chief of the Kaw Indians and is now a ghost town under water in Kay County,. near Kaw City, OK. Grace still lives at home and has helpers. She Is almost deaf but can still remember birthdays and such of her descendants. Louise Griffin’s grandmother on the Cook side (who would be Grace’s ,otherin- law) lived to be 96 and great-grandmother on Moody side (Grace’s mother) lived to 98. Grace had five children and two stepsons that she considered her own, 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 21 great great-grandchildren. Ten of the great great-grandchildren are Louise Griffin’s descendants.
