This report is for the period from May 4th through May 10th. During this time period the Geary Police Department issued 25 written Municipal or District Court citations.

On May 4th at approximately 5:25 am Geary Police officers served an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Municipal Court for the City of Geary for Andrea Rae Beaver of Geary. Officers located Beaver after being called to the area of South Countyline Road and Southeast 3rd Street for a suspicious female. Officers arrested Beaver without incident and she was booked into the Geary Municipal jail for her Geary arrest warrant.

On May 4th at approximately 2:53 pm Geary Police officers conducted a traffic stop near Interstate 40 on Highway 281 Spur with a vehicle that had committed a traffic violation. Officers contacted the driver identified as Jacob Lopez of Fort Worth, Texas and determined he was driving without a driver’s license being issued and the vehicle he was driving did not have current insurance. Officers also contacted a female passenger and juvenile child inside of the vehicle. The female passenger did not have a valid driver’s license issued. Officers located a significant amount of marijuana and marijuana infused food items inside of Lopez’s vehicle. Officers arrested Lopez and detained the female subject and they were transported with the minor child to the Geary Police Department. The female passenger was released from custody with the minor child without charges being filed. Officers booked Jacob Lopez on Geary Municipal Court charges of driving a motor vehicle without a driver’s license issued, no insurance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

On May 6th at approximately 8:46 am Geary Police officers were called to the 108 Fuel and Food located at 550 South Walbaum in Geary for a non-injury hit and run accident. Officers contacted Noel Miller of Katy, Texas who reported someone driving a white Ryder truck backed into the passenger side front of his Peterbilt semitruck and then drove off. Miller reported to officers that he was unable to get a license plate number off of the Ryder truck. Officers were unsuccessful in locating the Ryder truck and have completed a hit and run accident report for Miller and the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety.

On May 6th at approximately 8:30 pm Geary Police officers located a 1982 GMC Sierra pickup truck parked and abandoned in the center median on Highway 281 just south of the Junction. Officers checked the license plate for registration of the abandoned pickup truck and learned it was stolen from a residence in Seiling, Oklahoma and entered into N.C.I.C. by the Dewey County Sheriff’s Office. The Geary Police Department worked with the Dewey County Sheriff’s Office to recover and clear this stolen vehicle from N.C.I.C. Officers have no suspects and the vehicle was released back to its owner.

On May 6th at approximately 11:00 pm Geary Police officers were called to the Penz Auto Repair shop located at 224 South Broadway for a male subject who was prowling around the vehicles parked outside of the shop. The owner of the business provided officers with a video clip from their security system which was shared with the public to help identify the male suspect. With the assistance from the public the male suspect was identified as Kyler Keith Shawnee of Geary. Shawnee turned himself into the Geary Police Department where he was interviewed and arrested. Officers booked Shawnee on a Geary Municipal charge of criminal trespassing. The Geary Police Department would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying our suspect.
