March is practically gone and so quickly it seems. My Bradford Pear tree is loaded with tiny white clusters and is just waiting to fully bloom. Spring has always been my favorite season of the year. I just love to see Nature awaken again after being dormant in Winter. Several of our Seniors celebrated Birthdays this month and although we could not sing Happy Birthday to them in person we still wish them a blessed and good year. We were so saddened to learn that 2 of our favorite male members, both in their 90s had been called to their Heavenly home. Cliff Ingram, age 98 and a masterful Domino player died peacefully in his home and Eldon McCumber, age 94 died at home as well. Eldon was a relative of mine and a true gentleman. Both of these respected men will be greatly missed by family and friends and Prayers and Condolences go out to their respective families. On a brighter note, our Seniors are scheduled to be fed Stew, Cornbread, Steak Fingers, Mashed Potatoes & Gravy and Pizza this week just to mention some of the Menu items. We still get donated Food items occasionally and sincerely appreciate the generosity of the donors. We have an Election in Hinton on the first Tuesday of April and I hope to see a good turn out of Voters. That first Tuesday is also Food Bank Day and things will be very busy around the Sr. Center. Prayers are still requested for Joy Strong, Danny Wright, Donna Mae McCumber, Jami Sisson Boling, Terry Pawelek and her daughter Tricia, Darlene Tedford and Rosa Harding Until next time, Stay healthy and stay safe!!
