Indian Health Services to Hold Telephone Townhall

The Indian Health Service Clinton Service Unit and The Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes have announced they will host a telephone town hall meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 10. The call will allow patients of CSU and citizens of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes an opportunity to listen from home on what is being done to combat the 2019 novel coronavirus in their community. Dr. Joe. P. Bryan, a fellow at the Infectious Diseases Society of America, will provide a clinical update on COVID-19. Tribal leaders, including Gov.Reggie Wassana, members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes’ Health Board, and Executive Director of the Department of Health Charlene Wassana, will discuss the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes’ response for tribal members during the COVID-19 national emergency. Capt. Joe Bryant, chief executive officer of CSU encompassing Clinton, El Reno, and Watonga Indian Health Centers, will brief callers on CSU’s current operations for each of their facilities and how CSU is taking extra precautions to ensure the safety of patients and staff during this time.
