Liberty Marquee Advertising

The Liberty Marquee is now set up for advertising. Watonga Community Theatre offers three types: commercial, personal, and public service announcements.

All copy and the type of advertisement needs to be emailed to watongacommunitytheatre@gmail.com

. Pictures, graphics, or logos must be submitted in a .jpgformat. All copy must be received by Thursday at noon to run the following Monday. Most of the advertisements will run for a week, with a minimum of four times per hour. Tara Cowan and Amy Adams are the board operators.

“Our public service announcements are free to community non-profit groups for fund raisers, club/group announcements, and special events,” Marie Tech explained. “The Watonga community helped pay for this wonderful marquee, and WCT wants to give back by providing this service. Religious groups are encouraged to submit copy for special events or activities such as Bible School or fund raising.”

Personal advertisements such as birthday, anniversaries, Merry Christmas greetings, Valentine’s Day, graduation and garage sales are $25.

Commercial advertisements run for $50 a week or $150 a month.

Political advertising is not accepted.

“This is all new, and we are still experimenting and practicing with the board format, so we do ask for patience from the public,” Tech added.

“Patt Ward Curtin said, “As far as we know, this is the only LED theatre board in the state, and WCT is so excited.” “We are currently collecting donations with a $25 minimum suggested. Individuals are encouraged to donate as well as groups and organizations. We would like for the whole community to be represented. Plans are underway to improve the front of the building, now that the marquee has been finished.
