Hi Everyone! I hope you had an enjoyable Labor Day. I’m sure everyone appreciated an extra day off work. It always seemed like my extra day off was spent doing work at home. There was always laundry or extra cooking. Now that I’m retired it’s usually a leisurely day unless I need to cook for a get together. We’re just gonna leisure this year.

Don’t forget to mark your calendars for Friday, between 10:30 and 12:30 . that’s when Angel Home Health will be here to check blood pressure and blood sugars. It’s free. So come in and get checked. They are very nice folks.

We received more okra and cucumbers this last week. we really apricate these good fresh vegetables. I think a lot of gardens are during up. We’ll miss these fresh items.

We had three quilters in to quilt this week. It was Gene Matli, Judy Poarch and Pansy Hollis. They’re making good progress on it. Come in on Thursday and help them. You can take a break from quilting and eat biscuits and gravy with us. You’ll be glad you did.

Last Thursday we had a nice group in for lunch. Estalene Teply brought 3 of her sons and a grandson in for ham and beans after they’d been out dove hunting. They had a good time visiting with Jim Sinclair and some of the others that come in to eat. We were glad to have them.

We have a good menu lined up for next week. It is….

Thursday – Sauerkraut and sausage

Friday – Chicken Spaghetti

Monday- Chicken Sandwich with Fries

Tuesday – Chicken and Noodles

Wednesday- Meatloaf

Thursday- Liver and Onions Friday- Fried Chicken

Friday- Fried Chicken

I was sure glad to see liver and onions on the menu. I was out of town the last time we had it. I’ve acquired a real taste for it. Call us for Meals before 10AM at 6234511.

We had a new volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels. She worked two days delivering for us as we were short-handed. Thank You to Tracy Walker for helping us out. We sure appreciate it. Others delivering meals were Regina Glass and Janet Taylor, Mary Brown and Karen Dugger, and Janice Hood. A big thank you to all of you ladies.

I guess that’s about all from the Center. I hope you’re all staying well. Just keep wearing those masks and Washing your hands. I know you’re tired of hearing that but I think it helps. Til next week…
