Hi everybody! Well, we made it through another Cheese Festival. We can all rest up now and get ready for Halloween. Get your candy stocked up. I don’t decorate anymore. No one comes to our house and most of our block is usually dark.

We had a great turnout for our turkey dinner last Friday. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, too. We owe some big thanks to a couple of people. Thank you, Denis Espy for cooking the 13 turkeys we served. We really appreciate you doing that for us, and they were delicious. Thank you to Gene Matli for preparing all the dressing. It was very good and we had plenty. We really appreciate you, Gene.

I also want to thank all of those that donated desserts and salads, helped with the serving and whatever else needed done. You were all appreciated, and we couldn’t have done it without you. A special thank you to Judi Curtin for organizing it all. You did good, many thanks.

Last week these folks delivered meals for us; Susan Schrader and D’Von Poulson, Sharon Barns, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. Vernon had quite a few deliveries for the special meal on Friday. Thanks to all of you for your gift of time to help with this project.

We had several donations last week. Susan Schrader and Sandy Maddux brought in Best Choice labels. Steve Poulson brought in cans. Connie George donated toward the turkey dinner expenses. Thanks to all of you for your donations, we really appreciate them.

A donation was made in memory of Mina Lee Green. Eloise Espy and Yvonne Christensen made donations in memory of Jean Grove, and Pennie Daugherty. We are very thankful to these gifts to the center.

The winner of the Watonga quilt was a local lady, Teresa Smith. I was told her husband, Leonard, has made a number of quilts, so they will really appreciate this one.

Here is our menu for the next few days. Call us if you need one delivered or if you want to pick one up to go. Our number is 623-4511.
