Fall has finally arrived. We have had wonderful rains and beautiful temperatures. A month ago, we could hardly imagine this weather. With our 50th Annual Watonga Cheese Festival coming up, this weather is more than welcome. We will be having our Chicken and Noodle dinner on Friday, October 9, from 11 am to 1 pm. The cost will be $8 for chicken and noodles, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, homemade rolls and dessert with a drink. That is the best bargain you will find at the Cheese Festival!
MENU:
Thursday, October 8 Spaghetti and Meatballs
Friday, October 9 Chicken and Noodles
Monday, October 12 Chicken Strips
Tuesday, October 13 Meatloaf
Wednesday, October 14 Breaded Pork Loin (Kiwanis Meets)

Our meals last week were delivered by: Teresa Bryan, Sharon Barnes, Brenda Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. Thanks to them.
Mary Brown renewed her annual membership. Terri Crawford gave us a donation for hand-quilting her quilt, embroidered by her mother. Louise Cooper quilted on the quilt in our frame, made by the late Gene Matli.
We have a group of dedicated volunteers who help each day at the Center. They answer the phone, handle those paying for lunch, help prepare drinks, decorate the Center, and anything else asked of them. If you would like to become one of this valuable group, please contact us at the Center. We can always use volunteer help.
We eat each day except Wednesday, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. Wednesdays we eat from 11 am to 12 noon. Call us any morning before 10 am for home delivery.
We have an active exercise program Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 am. This program has been approved by several doctors and physical therapists. Come join us, for this free program, and feel better.
On Saturday, October 10, the Watonga Masonic Lodge will host its monthly breakfast at the Center, from 7 am to 10 am. It is a wonderful way to begin the full day of the Cheese Festival.
That evening, the Center will host its Fun and Games Night from 6 pm to 9 pm. Bring a snack to share and play dominoes, cards, puzzles, pool and even have live music, with the Saturday Night Gang.
Whatever your plans for the Watonga Cheese Festival, please join us Friday for lunch; Saturday morning for breakfast and Saturday night for fun and games!
