The 50th Cheese Festival is over and it was a huge success! The weather cooperated and OU beat Texas. Who could ask for more? At the Watonga Senior Citizens Center, we want to thank everyone who participated in our Chicken and Noodle Dinner. It was well attended and delicious. Next up is Halloween—time has really been going by fast!

Call us at 580-6234511 any morning before 10 am for home meal delivery. We eat each day, except Wednesday, from 11 am to 12:30 pm. On Wednesdays, when Kiwanis meets, we eat in from 11 am to 12 noon. Our meals are $8 and you will receive plenty of delicious home-cooked food.

Our meals were delivered last week by: Susan Shrader, Brenda Stein, Janice Hood (2 days), Sharon Barnes and Vernon Brickman. We are very grateful for these delivery persons.

We received a donation this past week from Maxine Strack for the Chicken and Noodle Dinner. We received a memorial donation for Esther Arnold from the Watonga Hospital Auxiliary. These donations are a true blessing and help keep our Center open.

Our quilter this week was Louise Cooper, and she does beautiful handquilting.

We exercise Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 am. The past few weeks we have had over 20 people participating, which is a great number. We also have four men who have joined our exercise group. You are invited to join us and watch us women put those men to shame!

We need volunteers and if you have a spare morning to donate, we would appreciate it. Come to the Center and we will put you to work!

“My favorite fall activity is pretending the leaves in my yard are charming instead of work.”
