President Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief plan could reach American’s pockets soon, after being approved by the Senate on Saturday.

Americans have been waiting for the promised $1,400 stimulus checks that Biden had promised since he took office back in January.

After much debate from both parties, the Senate voted 50-49, an even divide amongst party lines, to approve the measure.

The plan also includes jobless benefits, government funding, Obamacare expansion, school funding, and vaccine distribution funding.

Individuals who earn less than $75,000 a year and households making $150,000 a year are eligible for the $1,400 stimulus checks.

This $1,400 payment is cut off entirely for individuals and couples making $80,000 and $160,000 a year respectively.

An additional $300 per week to federal unemployment benefits have been extended to last until Sept. 6.

An increase to the child tax credit was also included in this plan and is now $3,600 for each child younger than 6 and $3,000 for each child between 6 and 17 in 2021.

Ultimately, this coronavirus relief plan has not been enacted into law just yet as it has to make its way back to the House so that they may vote to approve changes that were made in the Senate.

The vote is expected to be similar to that of the Senate and succeed with a small Democratic majority.

The first round of payments is expected to go out as soon as Biden signs the bill which he is expected to do as soon as the House approves the final changes.

How quickly you receive your check is once again dependent on if you will receive a direct deposit or a check in the mail.

Direct deposit recipients will likely receive their checks the fastest and can likely expect them to arrive this month.
