Oklahoma proved its red political prowess again on Election Night Tuesday.

Almost all national news outlets called the state for President Donald Trump at 7 p.m., the same time polls closed across the state. Trump won Oklahoma with about 65 percent of the vote; former Vice-President Joe Biden pulled in 32 percent.

In Blaine County, Trump won with 3,133 votes to Biden’s 688, or about 80-18 percent. Several independent candidates and a libertarian candidate also garnered small vote totals in the presidential race.

Nationally, the highly contested and contentious race was too close to call Tuesday night. Several key battleground states were yet to be called, meaning the results pushed into Wednesday and could even go into Thursday.

At one point during the night, Trump in a speech declared victory – long before all votes were counted. Actually, there were millions of votes still to be counted, including mostly mail-in ballots in those several key battleground states like Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

“Frankly, we did win the election,” he said. He also threatened lawsuits to block further votecounting.

On Twitter, Biden responded. “We feel good about where we are. We believe we are on track to win this election.” And in a second tweet: “It’s not my place or Donald Trump’s place to declare the winner of this election. It is the voters’ place.”

As of Wednesday morning, Biden had a lead and appeared headed toward an electoral college and popular vote win with six states yet to be called, according to several national news outlets.

Earlier on Tuesday, Trump tweeted “We are looking really good all over the country. Thank you!”

Meanwhile, Biden urged people to stay in line and vote.

“As polls begin to close in certain parts of the country, remember to stay in line. If you’re in line at your polling voice before it closes, your able to vote,” Biden said in a tweet.

No further results were available as of the Republican press deadline.
