Weekly Coronavirus Updates

As of March 16, there have been 432,793 confirmed cases of the Covid-19 virus in the state, up by 310 in the last 48 hours according to the Oklahoma State Department of Health. There were 87 deaths reported in the last day. This brings the death toll to 4,788.

In Blaine County, according to emergency management officials, there are 39 active cases.

There are 9 cases in Canton; three cases in Geary; zero in Hitchcock; two cases in Longdale; three cases in Okeene and 21 in Watonga. The cases are noted by zip code, so those ill may not live inside the city limits, just in the vicinity.

There are 29,495,424 cases cumulative reported nationally, up 56,649 since the last numbers were released by Johns Hopkins University. There have b e e n 535,628 deaths in the United States, up 740 since last report.
