There is an associate district judge in every county in Oklahoma. They handle a variety of cases, such as civil court lawsuits, family law court like divorce, criminal cases such as assault and other types of cases.

They are overseen by district judges, who usually preside in each county about once a month. Locally, District Judge Paul Woodward comes to Blaine County to hold court. Blaine County is part of the Fourth Judicial District of Oklahoma.
