SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Body
Hi everybody! I sure hope you enjoyed the snow. Wasn't it beautiful? It was so pretty to watch coming down, knowing I didn't have to get out in it any time soon. I finally got out Saturday afternoon for a bit. I hope it will be a while before we get any more though.

Growing Old is the Pits

Body
I don't know what happened but all of a sudden, I've started 'feeling my age.' I think that's what's happening anyway, but I can't be certain since I've never been this age before. I base the observation of my sudden decline on my sister. For years she's complained about how the cold weather makes her bones ache. My reaction tended to be “Pfffft. Must be heck being old.” Of course, this conversation took place in my head. If I'd have said it out loud, I'm sure I'd have felt how old she really was upside my head. LOL

Hinton Senior News

Body
Due to the inclement Winter weather we had last week the Hinton Sr. Center was closed for three days beginning on Wednesday. Here it is Sunday and I am still unable to leave my house because of drifts. One of the things that happens when you live outside of town. No complaints, I love it here. I hope everyone stayed warm and safe. We should have the Center opened up and running on Monday AM. We had advised our Home-bounds that they should be prepared for the closure. I spoke to several on the phone and they were appreciative of the information we provided them. We still have Prayers requested for Joy Strong, Bob Howard, Danny Wright, Jami Sisson Boling, Terrell Coffey, Peggy Coffey, Terry Pawelek, Darlene Tedford, Rosa Harding, Eldon and Donna Mae McCumber. Hopefully with the Center being open again there will be more to write about next time. Till then, be well and stay safe!!
