Hi Everyone! Hope you had a great week. I hope you are all still well. People are still staying in a lot, at looks that way at the Center. Most of our meals are being carried out, with a few coming in to eat, but doing social distancing.

Webster's Dictionary defines Home Improvement as being or related to a project to make one's house better, bigger, more modern, etc.; long past time for some home improvements. My definition: Something that is a bad idea for an aesthetically challenged person like myself that can drag on for weeks and cost a small fortune.

Oklahoma State University Recommendations Maximize Alfalfa Field Productivity

Producers who will be planting alfalfa in late August and early September can maximize their investment by following researchbased recommendations, Oklahoma State University experts said. Alfalfa has been called the royalty of forage crops as far back as 1909, when an Oklahoma Agricultural Experiment Station bulletin heralded its benefits relative to raising livestock, both for grazing and as hay.

Henderson Receives Grant

Oklahoma Reaches 39,500 New Coronavirus Cases

The Corona virus case numbers in Blaine County are trying to buck the trend statewide and nationally. As of Aug. 4, there were no new positive cases in the county, but there were three cases now considered recovered.

Elementary Supplies Covered by Donor

An anonymous donor has lifted a huge burden off struggling Watonga parents. Lori Graham, principal of Watonga Elementary, said a donor who wished to remain anonymous ponied up $4,000 for school supplies for elementary students.
