We are experiencing the biggest snowfall in several years, and the coldest spell in a long time. I hope that all of you are staying indoors and staying warm. I have faucets dripping and cabinet doors open to keep pipes warm and defrosted.

Bill Would Expand Family Leave For Educators

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Mark Mann, DOklahoma City, has filed four bills expanding family leave for teachers and other public school employees. Rep. Emily Gise, R-Oklahoma City, is the principal House author of the measures.

Hardin Bill to Expand Raw Milk Sales

OKLAHOMA CITY – Rep. David Hardin, RStilwell, has filed two bills that would protect lawful businesses from excessive liability and give Oklahoma farmers more flexibility to sell products directly to consumers.

Tabor Marlatt Named Ashenfelter Scholar

The 2025-2026 Dr. Melody Ashenfelter Scholar at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) is Tabor Marlatt of Sharon, Oklahoma. The Ashenfelter Scholarship is awarded annually to a student studying in the Everett Dobson College of Business & Technology at SWOSU.

Green Bill to Support Home Bakers, Raw Milk

OKLAHOMA CITY – Sen. Grant Green, RWellston, has filed legislation to support local farmers, dairy producers and homesteaders by expanding raw milk sales and adding a sales tax exemption for homebaked bread.
