ALVA -Northwestern Oklahoma State University will close Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of Labor Day, giving students, faculty and staff an extended weekend.The university will suspend all operations for the federal holiday. No classes will meet, and all campus offices will remain closed Monday.

New Case of CWD Confirmed in State

Oklahoma's fourth case of a wild deer infected with Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) was confirmed this month in the Oklahoma Panhandle. The whitetailed deer was located in Texas County after a landowner reported the animal behaving abnormally.
