SENIOR CENTER NEWS

It’s been a really busy week at the Center. Maybe this week will be a little slower, we’ll see.

We have had a good group show up each day for exercise. Come in and join us on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9 am. We have fun while we exercise and Estalene is a good leader.

We had a fun day shopping last Wednesday. There were 9 of us that went. We ate at Chili’s before shopping. Their loaded baked potato soup is terrific. We shopped at several places before heading home but HAD to make a stop in El Reno for Braum’s. Can’t seem to miss that place.

Our garage sale went great. We appreciate everyone’s support. We’ll have things out for a few more days if you want to come by to see what’s left.

Saturday night, the 14th, will be our regular music and games night. Bring a snack of some kind and come have some fun. We’re there from 6 to 9.

I want to acknowledge those that delivered the Meals on Wheels this last week. Our volunteers were Eloise Espy on Monday, Curtis Stein on Tuesday, Greta Wright and Mary May on Wednesday, Janice Hood on Thursday and Peggy Franks and Wayne Maddux on Friday. We appreciate these folks so much.

We had a lot of donations this week of cans and labels. These came from Loretta Grove, Norita Curtin, Sandra Maddux, Margie Smith, Smokey Rogers and Mary Brown. Thanks to everyone for helping us with these projects.

Donations given in memory of Aniebel Stevenson were from Donna Kohl, Karlyn Ingram and Robert and Kathryn Diamond. We are very grateful for these memorials.

Our meals this week will

Thursday—Liver and Onions

Friday—Ham and Beans

Monday—Vegetable Soup and Chili

Tuesday Sausage and Potato Bake

Wednesday—Ham and Sweet Potatoes

Reminder—Kiwanis meets at noon so we eat at 11:00.

We will be glad to prepare a meal to go for you. Just give us a call at 623-4511. We will have it ready for you.

Don’t forget Thursday mornings we have biscuits and gravy for you. It’s really good.

I hope you have a great week. I’ll be talking to you again next week.
