Greetings to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope and pray that you have had a good week so far. My days are always busy, so I am never bored.
During the mock trial of Jesus, He made the statement to Pilate in John 18:36-38, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.” Pilate said, “So you are a king?” Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.” This also goes along with what Jesus said in John 8:31-32, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” When talking about the truth, one must also always remember Hebrews 6:18,”it is impossible for God to lie.”
Submitting to the truth of God’s word is what life is all about. If I refuse to submit to God’s word, Paul told what will happen to me in 2 Thessalonians 2:10-12, “He will use every kind of evil deception to fool those on their way to destruction, because they refuse to love and accept the truth that would save them. So God will cause them to be greatly deceived, and they will believe these lies. Then they will be condemned for enjoying evil rather than believing the truth.”
We must stop relying on the wisdom of man and start trusting in the truth of God’s word. That’s how we will get on the right path.
