Hi Everyone! I’m Finally able to spread the news from the Senior Citizens Center again. I’ve had quite a month. Received a second stent in the heart on December 8th. On the 12th the Covid got to me and I spent five days in Watonga Hospital. Came home and spent and spent 2 more weeks getting over bronchitis. I’m really feeling pretty good, just don’t have a lot of strength yet. I’ told our regular Meals of Wheels are still hanging in there, making deliveries. Thank You so much Regina Glass, Janet Taylor, Mary Brown, Karen Dugger, Brendra Stein, Janice Hood, Vernon Brickman and D’von Poulsen. You are so appreciated. I hope I didn’t miss anyone.

I understand there have been some memorial donations received recently from Larry and Naida Kerr and Janice and Louise Hood. Thank You.

Judy tells me they have a quilt to put in the frames for quilting but it’s too large for frames. They are trying to figure out how to deal with the problem. I’m sure they’e get it worked out. They quilt belongs to Christy Kaiser.

Due to the lack of Attendance at the center the election of new board members was done by telephone. Board members elected Janice Hood and Dorene Flaming. Dorothy Jameson agreed to be the Director. Officers for 2021 will be Sharon Gates, President, Judy Poarch, Vice president and Mae Thompson , secretary - treasurer

I was told there aren’t many coming to exercise class. Last week they averaged about 4 each day. I hope to be able to participate this next week.

I’m sure you’ve missed having the menu available. I’m Sorry I’ve been out of Pocket for so long. I hope to stay well and able to keep this column going.

Here is the Menu for the next week.

Friday – Indian Tacos

Monday -Taco Salad

Tuesday – Chicken Spaghetti

Wednesday – Roast Pork Thursday- Chicken

I know the Covid has really taken a toll on Watonga and Blaine County. We’ve lost a lot of Good People. I’m so sorry We lost our Son in law Keith Sattler to it. We just have to continue to try to stay safe. Please take Care. Til next Week…
