Hi everyone! Its already been a week. They go by so fast now. It seems like I just get one column written and it’s time to do another one. John has gone fishing today so it’s quiet in the house. I hope he catches some fish. Would make a good supper.
I’ve noticed quite a few coming in for exercise on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There’s always room for more. It starts at 9 and last about an hour. Estalene Teply is in charge of it, but occasionally someone else will lead the group, such as Esther Arnold, Larry Kerr, and I think Joe Bryan has at one time. They have a good time. Come and join them. They’ll be glad to see you.
I think they are planning a trip to Weatherford for a music night. It will be in August. I’ll let you know for sure later.
This Saturday (the 24th) will be our regular music and games night. We come at 6 and leave around 9. We have fun and anyone is welcome. Bring a snack of some kind (cookies, Cake, Etc.) and join us.
Our meals on wheels deliverers this last week were D’Von Poulson and Susan Shrader, Karen Dugger and Mary Brown, Brenda and Curt Stein, Janice Hood and Vernon Brickman. We are so thankful for these faithful volunteers. God bless you all!
We had several donations last week. Janice Hood brought in squash and cucumbers, Anita Woodruff brough in tomatoes, and Basil and Dana Taylor made a monetary donation. They also renewed their memberships. Thank you to all of you for thinking of us.
Friday we had two ladies from Watonga hospital in to do blood sugar and blood pressure test. They’ll be back next month. Ill let you know when.
We had three quilters in last week. They would be glad to have you join them. They meet on Thursday morning ( after they eat biscuits and gravy – not required) and they leave around noon. Quilters last week were Naida Kerr, Estalene Teply, and Jennie Castleberry.
We are still making plans for the sock hop we are hosting at city hall on August 7th. I hope you’re planning to come. The more the merrier. It will be $5 per person. We’ll see you then.
Here’s our menu for the next few days. Lots of good things coming up. Don’t miss Liver and Onions on July 22nd.
