Blaine County and Major County 4-H Members

Blaine County and Major County 4-H Members participated in a fun filled two days of workshops recently. The group started by learning about photography and then took pictures that they will enter in the fair. The group then headed off to tour the Parrish Elk Farm in Okeene. After the Elk Farm, they made crafts and then learned about Entomology from a state 4-H Ambassador from Garfield County. The next day, the group started at the Okeene Library where a summer intern from the State 4-H Office taught a half day workshop on Health Rocks! They learned about making healthy choices in food and lifestyle. Following that workshop, the 4-H members participated in a fishing workshop where they learned about fish in Oklahoma and concluded the day by making another craft. 4-H is open to all youth 8 yrs. old by September 1, 2021 to 18 years of age.
