Hinton Senior News

HINTON — Hello again! I hope you had a good week and are ready for whatever else is coming our way. Weather might get a little nasty mid-week but we will have to wait and see what happens.

This coming Sat. Feb. 5, is the Annual Groundhog Supper Carry-out sponsored by the Hinton Methodist Church men. Drive-thru only from 5pm to 7pm. Also, don't forget Election Day is Tues. Feb 8.

We do keep checking on our seniors when we deliver their meals daily and so far they are in good health and we pray it stays that way.

Some of our people around town who had gotten Covid are slowly recovering and are dealing with fatigue and sore joints. We just remind everyone to stay away from crowds and sanitize those hands.

Meal preparation keeps things hopping at the Center and we appreciate our volunteers.

Prayers are requested for Peggy Coffey, Danny Wright and Terrell Coffey as they are recuperating from recent surgery. Also Joy Strong, Bob Howard, Jami Sisson Boling, Terry Pawelek and her daughter Tricia, Darlene Tedford, Rosa Harding, Eldon and Donna Mae McCumber.

We heard that Dixie Snow is doing very well at her Assisted Living Facility in El Paso. She misses her church family here in Hinton and hopes they miss her too.

Until next time please be careful and by all means stay safe.
