SENIOR CENTER NEWS

Hi, everyone. I hope your week has been a good one. Mine has been OK. All the pollen has really gotten to me, especially my eyes. But all the trees that are blooming are so pretty. We have a little peach tree in our front yard that is covered with pretty pink flowers. I hope we don’t get a hard freeze and ruin the peaches.

Saturday night we had 29 folks come in to play cards, dominos and pool. Tom Autry came in and played music with David Green. We miss Wayne Maddux’s music but he’s just not up to it at this time. Hopefully he’ll be able to play again soon.

On Friday, March 17, a representative from the Area Council on Aging will be at the center at 9:45 a.m. to speak to us and answer questions. Then at 10:30 the ladies from the hospital will be in to check blood pressure and blood sugar. This is open to the public so feel free to come in and join us.

On Saturday, March 18 the Cheyenne Quilt Guild will meet from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. to work on sewing projects, mostly quilts. Bring your sewing machine and supplies for whatever you’re working on and come on in. They have a good time.

Then on Monday, March 20, the quilt guild has its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. They discuss all sorts of quilting projects and questions. They would be glad to have you.
