The Caddo County Retired Educators held its monthly meeting Monday, April 10 at the Caddo Kiowa CTC. There were 12 members present along with one guest.
The April devotion was presented by Karen Mason. Secretary Christi Smith read the minutes from the last meeting and President Paula Squires gave a treasury report, along with the legislative report. She then introduced Crystal Cleary, LPN and Director of Glenhaven Retirement Village out of Chickasha.
Ms. Cleary explained to the group the difference between assisted living vs nursing home care. She gave some very interesting information that might be beneficial for future use.
Following the presentation, the group enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared by the CKTC food service department.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, May 8. This will be the last meeting of the school year. The program for May will be to make plans for the 2023-24 school year and evaluate the past year. The group will resume meeting again in September. All retired educators and those planning to retire this year are invited to attend the monthly meetings.
