The Watonga Eagles were victorious against Drummond Bulldogs 7-3 on Thursday.
Drummond opened the scoring in the first after Edwards tripled, scoring two runs.
A double by Cooper House gave Watonga the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third.
Parker Roberts earned the win for Watonga. The pitcher surrendered 11 hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking none.
Carter DeHaas took the loss for Drummond.
Watonga piled up nine hits in the game. House drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Eagles with three runs batted in. The left-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Talen Smith and House each collected two hits for the Eagles. Watonga turned one double play in the game.
The Bulldogs accumulated 11 hits in the game. Edwards drove the middle of the lineup, leading Drummond with two runs batted in. Jax Hobbs, DeHaas, and Edwards each collected two hits for the Bulldogs, who were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error.
Following the game with Drummond, the Eagles took on the Alva Goldbugs, falling 6-4.
Watonga opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. They got on the board first when Cooper House singled, scoring one run.
Coleman Gaisford singled to left field, which helped Alva tie the game.
Watonga took the lead in the top of the fourth. Zac Diaz singled, scoring two runs, to give Watonga the lead, 4-2.
Alva took the lead in the bottom of the fifth inning after Keiden Kimberly singled to left field, Cambell Gaisford singled to center field, and Logan Burgin doubled to left field, each scoring..
Cole Allen took the loss for Watonga. The hurler went six innings, allowing six runs (five earned) on eight hits, striking out four and walking two. Gunnar Tackett started on the bump for Alva. The pitcher allowed five hits and four runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one.
Parker Roberts and House were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in one run for Watonga. Diaz and House each collected two hits for the Eagles. Diaz stole two bases, helping Watonga bandit four bases in the game.
