Museum Admission Part of EBT Benefits

GUTHRIE — The Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library have joined the Museums for All program. The museum will offer FREE admission to Electronic Benefits Transfer Oklahoma Tribal EBT, WIC, Oklahoma Fosters or Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oklahoma card or ID holders for up to six people. This initiative aims to make high-quality museum learning resources accessible to a wider audience.

The Oklahoma Territorial Museum and Carnegie Library, located at 406 E. Oklahoma Ave. in Guthrie, is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., with free admission through “Museums for All” available during regular operating hours.

“Museums for All” is a signature access program of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS), administered by the Association of Children’s Museums (ACM). The program aligns with a nationwide initiative involving more than 850 institutions, spanning art museums, children’s museums, science centers, botanical gardens, zoos, history museums and more.

The mission of the Oklahoma Historical Society is to collect, preserve and share the history and culture of the state of Oklahoma and its people. Founded in 1893 by members of the Territorial Press Association, the OHS maintains museums, historic sites and affiliates across the state. Through its research archives, exhibits, educational programs and publications the OHS chronicles the rich history of Oklahoma.
