On Saturday, Oct. 11, the Central Oklahoma Chapter of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia will be hosting a Harvest Fest Lunch at Our Lord’s Lutheran Church, 2900 W. Hefner Rd. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with serving to start at noon. The suggested donation for a full plate of delicious German-Russian food is $15. The menu consists of German sausage, bierocks, hot German potato salad, red cabbage, sauerkraut, kuchen and homemade root beer. New this year is a German Market, featuring German-related items including fresh baked goods, canned goods, needlework, crafts, cookbooks, etc. Proceeds from the German Market go to our scholarship fund for descendants of Germans from Russia.
