Beverly Jean Cannon was born January 21, 1935 at Valley Center, KS to Ido Franklin Bright and Gladyis Lewis Bright, and passed away April 22, 2021 at 86 years of age. She was a resident of the Watonga community for over 50 years, where she was an LPN at the Watonga Nursing Home. She graduated from Valley Center High school in Kansas in 1953 and then attended Nursing School in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was married to Ernest G. Cannon, Jr. at the Watonga Methodist Church on November 20, 1970.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her three brothers: Edward “EJ” Bright, Verlin Bright, and Frank Bright, and her stepson Gary Cannon.

She is survived by her husband Ernest G. Cannon, Jr. of the home in Watonga, OK.

Three sons; Larry Thomas of Wichita, Kansas, Mike Thomas of Arcadia, Florida, and Kelly Cannon of Yukon, Oklahoma. One daughter; Cindy Bills of Watonga, Oklahoma. One stepdaughter; Vernetta Vinson of Macomb, Oklahoma. One brother; Charles “Sonny” Bright of Valley Center, Kansas. One sister; Virginia “Sissy” Matson of Wichita, Kansas. Twelve grandchildren; Billy Don Eaton II, Tony Eaton, Kristi Magers, Stephanie King, Geoffrey Cannon, Geonn Cannon, Amy Ellison, L.J. Thomas, Ashley Thomas, Rosemary Thomas, Mike Thomas, Jr., and Scott Thomas.

She also had more than twenty great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Beverly Jean Cannon will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Watonga, Oklahoma with Reverend Adam Lovitt officiating and Wilkinson Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
