In Loving Memory...
1928~2022 Charlotte Lou Cowan was born May 13, 1928, to parents Russel and Zula Brannon and passed away in her sleep the morning of October 30, 2022, at the age of 94. At the time of her death, she resided in at Merisol Care in Freemont, Calif.
Her mother passed away when Charlotte was very young and families in the Greenfield area helped her father raise her. She attended grade school in Greenfield, then graduated from WHS in 1946 while living with family in Watonga.
She is survived by her youngest son, Joe Dennis Clinging; daughter-in-law Dawn Ehret; and granddaughter Kristen Ehret-Clinging, all of Union City, Calif.; and cousin, Carol McCrary of Watonga.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Richard Clinging and son Russel (Rusty) Clinging and by second husband Cecil Cowan.
Charlotte was a kind and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was very much loved and will be truly missed by all whose lives she touched.
She will be laid to rest at the Chapel of Chimes Cemetery in Hayward, Calif. Next to her husband Joe and son Rusty. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the local animal shelter or rescue, as Charlotte loved all animals.
