Cindy Arnold Latty, 40, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on August 12, 2022, after a valiant four-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (or Lou Gehrig's disease or ALS) with her husband by her side at home.

Cindy was born on July 30, 1982, to Merle and Esther Arnold in Okeene, OK. She was active and took many awards in the county fair, 4-H, band, quiz bowl, and Nation Honor Society. After graduating from Watonga High School in 2001 as the valedictorian, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Weatherford, Oklahoma, in 2005.

While at university, she married her high school sweetheart, Jeff Farris, in 2002. She landed her first job as a chemistry and biology teacher for Hobart High School. She and her first husband divorce then she met her second husband, Steve Latty and they got married in 2008. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing to become a registered nurse in the Tulsa area. She thrived on working 50+ hour weeks to help others. Although they had no children, she was a devoted wife and loved her dogs and cats. Cindy had extensive knowledge in horticulture and enjoyed a variety of plants in her home. She enjoyed swimming, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and going to local festivals.

Cindy is predeceased by her grandparents, Fred and Junie Gorath and Charlie and Sadie Arnold, and her father, Merle Arnold. She is survived by her husband, Steve Latty; her mother, Esther Arnold; her sister and husband, Rachel and James Lake; her brother, Norville Arnold; her three nephews, Kristopher Lake and wife from Michigan, Brian Lake from Edmond, and Newly from Alabama. 

She was a great wife, daughter, sister and a true friend and will begreatly missed. They will have a Celebration of Life but the date is not set but anybody is invited, but if they would call her mother first, so she would have a idea how many.
