Delbert Young Pearson who passed away Saturday September 4, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Kingfisher, OK at the age of 87. He was a simple man and never wanted much and he was always there for anyone who needed help.

Delbert was born July 9, 1934 East of Watonga to Velvie Young and Edna Ingerta (Halverson) Pearson. Delbert went 1st thru 8th grade at Oakridge County School one mile South of his home, and 9th thru 12th grade in Watonga graduating in 1952. He was united in marriage to Nadine Comby March 20, 1953 in Watonga. He worked as Upstream Flood Control Soil Conservation Service from 1956-1963, Watonga Soil Conservation Service from 1963 until retiring in April 1, 1994, and worked for Felder Surveying Company in Okeene, for 1996-January 13, 2005. Delbert always enjoyed farming and retired from farming in July of 2007. Delbert loved watching OU Football and could recall scores and events for many years past. He was a hardworking man and took his work seriously and his work ethic was always of the highest quality and held in high esteem by his co-workers. Of all his attributes, the one most worth mentioning was the overwhelming love for his family.. He loved each one unconditionally and was dearly loved in return. He enjoyed John Wayne movies and was of the opinion that a decent movie was never made after he passed.

Delbert was preceded in death by his parents, V.Y. and Edna Pearson, siblings, Marvin and Forrest Pearson, and sister-in-law, Judy Pearson.

Survivors include, his wife Nadine Pearson of the home, Watonga, OK; three daughters, Rhonda Tullius and her husband Jerry of Norman, Myla Bryant of Norman, and Lisa Sharp and her husband Bill of Piedmont; five grandchildren, Joe Young Crawford and his wife Jennifer of Noble, Tara Knight of Oklahoma City, Sara Fitzhugh and her husband Robert of Norman, Logan Pearson Sharp and his wife Grace of Mustang, OK, and Landon Sharp of Edmond; six great grandchildren, Lindsey, Tasha, Kiersten and fiancé Danny, Kayton, Jimmy and Brian; two great-great grandchildren, Brantley and Hailey and one on the way; siblings, Maxine Strack and her husband Frank of Watonga, Merlyn Pearson and his wife Ginger of McKinney, TX, Lyndell Pearson and his wife Sandra of Watonga; sister-in-law, Judy Pearson of Broken Arrow, OK, god daughter, Crystal Hale Briscoe; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
