Donna Jean Scott was born in Geary, Oklahoma on March 19, 1931 to Vernon and Georgia Stephens. She unexpectedly went to be reunited with the love of her life, Neil Scott, and into the presence of her Savior on March 31, 2021.

Donna Jean spent her childhood and youth in Geary, OK and graduated from Geary High School in 1948. She married E. Neil Scott on August 7, 1949 and they were blessed with 71 years of marriage. Neil and Donna had the opportunity to live in different parts of the country due to Neil’s education and work. They lived in Stillwater, OK; Franklin and Kearney Nebraska; Denver, Colorado; Dallas, Texas; Indianapolis, Indiana; Peoria, Illinois and moved to Oklahoma City during their retirement years. Approximately 10 years ago they relocated to Humble to be closer to family.

Donna was a woman of many talents. She was a wonderful seamstress, could cook and bake, and enjoyed crafts and cross stitching. She was an active member of her church choir for many years and played the piano and organ. She and Neil were both very active in their Bible Study group and the senior group at Quail Springs Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Donna is preceded in death by her husband Neil Scott, son Steve Scott, parents Vernon and Georgia Stephens, brother Harrison L. Stephens, and great-grandson Jonathan Shaddix.

She is survived by her son Dennis Scott and wife Merrell, daughter-in-law Sally Scott, sister-in-law Sharon Stephens, grandchildren Matthew Hines, Kathryn Shaddix, Leah Friday, Stephen Scott, and Emily Scott. Great grandchildren Paige Shaddix, Abby Friday, Tessa Friday, William Friday, Addison Hines, Austin Hines, Ava Collins, Bryson Jones, Orion Scott and Atlas Scott.
