1931-2024 In Loving Memory... Ina Maxine Peters

Ina Maxine Peters was born on February 8, 1931 near Geary, OK to Thomas G. and Georgia Lillian (Davidson) Kennedy. Maxine passed away on January 8, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 92. She graduated from Greenfield High School in 1955. She married Ivan Peters on November 8, 1948 in Vernon, TX. They lived in Watonga then moved to OKC where Maxine worked at Red Cap Tag Agency and was secretary for the Oklahoma City Speedway until they moved back to Greenfield. They ran the Greenfield Store and both helped run Ivan’s Backhoe Service, while Maxine served as secretary of the Oklahoma High School Rodeo Association. Maxine worked as the second deputy for Blaine County Treasurer from 1996-2018 and worked part-time for the Blaine County Election Board. Maxine enjoyed crocheting, knitting, making stockings, and her flower beds. She loved all her great grandbabies. Maxine had been a member of Pleasant Valley Homemaker’s Club since 1957 and of the Greenfield Baptist Church for many years. Maxine is survived by her children, Linda Spiva and husband Steve of Prague, OK, Lynn Pritchett and husband Steve of Geary, OK, and Donna Hoskins and husband Curtis of Watonga, OK; her daughter in law, Melinda Peters of Switz City, IN, her grandchildren, Lori Long and husband Mike of Wilburton, OK, Lonnie Spiva of Stigler, OK, Chad Pritchett and wife Lindsay of Geary, OK, Brian Pritchett and wife Liz of Calumet, OK, Michael Pritchett and wife Ashley of Piedmont, OK, Kayla Thompson and husband Eldon of Geary, OK, Toni Schnetzler and husband Scott of Yukon, OK, Kenneth Peters and Marnie of Kingfisher, OK, Kristine Soliz of Terrell, TX, Paul Selby of TX, and Jessie Peters and wife Jennifer of New York State; her great grandchildren, Austin Spiva and wife Alayna, Ethan Long, Marshall Long, Samantha Spiva, Mattie and Mya Pritchett, Eva, Oliver, Luke, Lucy, and Juliet Pritchett, Brianna and Briley Pritchett, Sawyer and Scarlett Thompson, Geron White and wife Kristen, Hailey Compton and husband Ryan, Brianna Butterfield and husband Matt, Andrew Peters, Miranda Peters, Jewel, Isabella, Sarah, and Augustus Soliz, her great great grandchildren, Eli Compton, Paisley Butterfield, Jacen Peters, Asher Spiva, and Brielle Spiva, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Georgia Kennedy, her husband Ivan Peters, her son, Tommy Peters, her grandsons, Timmy Pritchett and Matthew Peters, her siblings, Thomas Kennedy, Jr., Jesse Kennedy, Kenneth Kennedy, and Leora Harrison.
